After you have decided which course to enroll and how you would you like to take the course, please read the tuition, payments plans for Diploma Program, and Refund Policies. All applicants have to fill out the general application form and submit a HKID/passport copy.
On-campus students:
You can walk-in or send your completed application form, a HKID/passport copy, along with the application fee and confirmation fees, and proof of English proficiency.
Accelerated program students:
You can walk-in or send your completed application form, a HKID/passport copy, along with the application fee and confirmation fees
Distance education students:
You need to walk-in with your completed application form, a HKID/passport copy. Once all required fees and documents are submitted, you can pick-up your textbooks right away. If you enroll from overseas, you can send your completed application form, a passport copy and send all required fees by wire transfer or by cashier's check or personal check drawn on Hong Kong local banks. Make check payable to "GIA Hong Kong Ltd." Please note that shipping charge will be applied if you would like the textbooks to be shipped.
Credit card:
Payment by Visa or MasterCard only accepted in-person at GIA Hong Kong office. Additional surcharge will be added.
Check or money Order/cashier's check:
You may pay cashier's check or personal check drawn on Hong Kong local banks. Make check payable to “GIA Hong Kong Ltd.”
Wire transfer:
All wire fees need to be paid by the applicants.
Special Information for On Campus Applicants
Applicant must submit all required documents, plus the application fee (non-refundable) and the confirmation fee (refundable), to reserve a space in class. Balance is due on or before the Orientation Day.
Special Information for International Applicants
International students studying at GIA campus in Hong Kong will enjoy an exciting and rewarding experience. The transition to living in Hong Kong should not be difficult, but you must be aware of certain rules and regulations which govern your stay in Hong Kong, and pertain to your enrollment at GIA.
International students must have valid student visas allowing them to attend GIA to complete the program. The entry visas must be obtained prior to entering Hong Kong. Once GIA receives all of the above documents, you will receive a Letter of Acceptance which you can use to apply for your visa. Student, whose visa application is unsuccessful, will be refunded the deposit amount minus HK$1,000.00 administrative fee. However, if you decide to withdraw from the course on your own accord, GIA will withhold 10% of the total tuition as non-refundable application fee.
Special Information for Distance Education Applicants
Tuition fee do not include required instruments for the Gem Identification course. You will need to complete your Gem Identification assignments in GIA's Student Workroom. For Student Workroom's activities, hours, and fee, please contact our office.
